Benevolent Requests

Evergreen Church exists to join God in the renewal of all things where we live, work, learn, and play. This includes offering tangible help for physical needs for those within our geographical area. Our Board has established a Love Local Fund and the following process for these requests.

Benevolence Process

2.1 - Love Local Funds of up to $500 can be distributed for the following benevolent requests, if funds are available: overdue or upcoming bills (housing, utilities (water, heat/gas, internet, phone, insurance, vehicle, and medical), groceries, gas, and clothing.

2.2 - General applicants can be people within Evergreen Church, as well as anyone in the Greater Ann Arbor, Michigan Area (25 miles). Applicants do not need to be missional partners/members or attendees to apply. For applicants who live outside the 25 mile radius of Ann Arbor, special consideration will be given only if connected to the Free Methodist Church USA.

2.3 - Requests can be submitted through the online application at https://evergreenchurcha2.churchcenter.com/people/forms/959547

2.4 - Requests will be reviewed by the designated Evergreen staff/team members and a response delivered to the applicant within 24-72 hours.

2.5 - Only one benevolent request can be submitted per family/household every quarter.

2.6 - If approved and funds are available, bills will be paid directly to the provider through online bill pay OR cash or gift cards will be distributed for food, gas, and groceries. Approved applicants will need to work with the designated Evergreen Team Member(s) to coordinate logistics.

2.7 - The applicant is encouraged, but not required to engage with Evergreen Church for holistic care and support to receive funds.
